Making Ham and Parsley Tart
You can substitute the ham in this ham and parsley tart for bacon or salami. Parsley can be used in many different ways to add up food and provide a healthy dish.
To prepare this you will need:
1 ½ cups of plain flour
2 teaspoons mustard powder
3 tablespoons butter
3 eggs beaten
3 cups of milk
1 onion peeled and grated
1 cup Cheddar cheese grated
250g cooked ham
2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
Freshly ground salt and pepper
Freshly chopped parsley for garnish
How to put the Ham and Parsley Tart together
Heat the oven to 180 ? C and grease an ovenproof dish (5 cup)
Sift together the flour, mustard powder and salt and pepper. Rub in the butter.
Beat the eggs and the milk and stir into the flour mixture.
Combine this mixture with the ham, onion, cheese and parsley.
Transfer to the ovenproof dish and bake for 1 hour or until the ham and parsley tart is golden on top and the tart has set.
Finish with finely chopped parsley and serve hot for a main meal.
