Parsley as a Diuretic ... organic parsley tea ... garlic parsley diet

Parsley as a Diuretic

Parsley is one of the best known herbs to take as a diuretic. You should be including parsley in your diet everyday without fail, either in the form of tea or with your food.

The diuretic properties of parsley are one of the reasons people trying to lose weight incorporate parsley as part of their diet.

However, if you are drinking parsley tea, do not drink it for more than 5 days consecutively without taking a few days break in between.

Garlic and Parsley in your Diet

If you eat garlic, which of course you should for many reasons, parsley can be used to sweeten your breath afterwards. Many of the garlic supplements available these days include parsley for this very purpose.

Organic Parsley Tea

Parsley tea may not be the sweetest tasting brew but it is so good for you that it is well worth persevering with the flavour.

Use ¼ cup of fresh leaves to one cup of boiling water. Leave to stew for 5 minutes, strain and drink.

I use the phrase ‘organic parsley tea’ as organically grown products are always the best ones to use, for flavour, nutrient volume and for the sake of your health. Buy normal parsley if you cannot find organic parsley as you will still derive goodness from the inorganic herb.

Alternatively, grow your own avoiding the use of chemical insect repellent and fertilizers in the soil.
